Two people can share an undertone and still need different outfits. Contrast between skin, hair and eyes is the missing piece.
Contrast is the difference in lightness between your skin, hair and eyes. When it is high, bold pairings such as dark with light tend to flatter. When it is low, softer blends keep the face from being overpowered.
Match the contrast in your outfit to the contrast in your face. High-contrast people can wear sharp color blocking, while low-contrast people often look best in tonal outfits.
Let the outfit echo the face, not fight it.
